Summer/Fall Inquiry
July 26 - September 13

A summer/fall Inquiry will begin on July 26 with eight sessions offered for anyone who might be interested in learning more about the Catholic church. Who comes to Inquiry? Non-Catholics, Baptized Catholics who never completed the Sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation, Catholics who want to return to the practice of the Faith, and any member of the parish who would like to journey with the Inquirers for some weeks.

The areas covered in the inquiry sessions build on each other. Six of the sessions will meet in the Parish Office on Wednesday evenings (6-7 p.m.); two will meet in the Sullivan House on Sunday mornings (10-11 a.m.).

The first session on Wednesday, July 26 will be 90 minutes. At this time the new Inquiry Group will meet Inquirers of the previous group and tour the Church together.

See the July 16 Parish Bulletin (download it from this page) for the schedule of sessions and for a registration form.

The sessions for this month will be Wednesday the 8th and on the 29th. Anyone who would like to attend is welcome. Inquiry meets from 6-7 p.m. in the Parish Office. For more information, contact Sr. Brendan at 544-7426.
Next Inquiry Session
The next Inquiry Session is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22nd from 6 to 7 p.m. (not Thursday Feb 23rd as originally planned). Inquiry is held in the Parish Office on the south side of the church building. Use the 6th Street door.
What happens on Sunday
Each Sunday, the Candidates and Catechumens come to Mass and celebrate the Liturgy of the Word with the parish community. At the conclusion of this part of the Mass, they are then dismissed with a blessing to go and further reflect together on the meaning the Word of God has for their lives.
P1290001
A member of the parish who volunteered for this ministry serves as a Catechist, or instructor. Other members serve as Sponsors for the Candidates and Catechumens. These sponsors journey with them as they travel toward becoming Catholic.
P1290002
Following this reflection on the Word, the Candidates, the Catechumens, their sponsors, and their Catechist adjourn for some refreshments. Following this, they begin a presentation and discussion regarding some aspect of the Catholic faith.
