DISCIPLINE PLAN FOR FIRST GRADE
CLASSROOM RULES
1. Be respectful.
2. Follow directions.
3. Raise your hand - please do not interrupt
4. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
5. Do not interfere with anyone’s learning.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO BREAK A SCHOOL RULE
First Time: A verbal warning will be given.
Second Time: Students will move their behavior symbol from green to yellow. A check will be placed on their daily behavior chart.
Third Time: The symbol will be moved from yellow to orange. Second check will be given on their behavior chart. Parents are to sign the behavior chart.
Fourth Time: Behavior Improvement Plan will be written and discussed at school. The plan will be attached to the student’s folder to be discussed at home. Parents will sign the plan and return the form to school the next school day.
SEVERE DISRUPTION - Student will be sent directly to the office. Parents will be called.
REWARDS
Daily: Happy face on behavior charts
Weekly: Thirty minutes of free choice on Friday afternoon if the student has all happy faces. Students will have free choice at their desk if they are missing a happy face.
Behavior certificates will be sent home at the end of the month if all squares are happy faces on their monthly behavior chart.
