Thank you for visiting our St. Joseph website. I hope that you will find the site inviting and informative.
St. Joseph Parish has been a part of the Springfield, Illinois community since 1875 and is still a vibrant faith community. The faith community is a very welcoming one. Our liturgy is prayerful and truly a source of nourishment for the community. Our commitment is to ongoing faith formation for all ages. We offer faith formation opportunities for pre-school children, children attending public schools, and teens. We have a fine grade school that offers individual attention to every student and many opportunities not often found in a school of this size. There are offerings for adults throughout the year, small church communities, and the Generations of Faith Program (inter-generational learning). Our RCIA process is a very rich resource for those looking into our Catholic faith. Our social ministry is a dynamic one, involving opportunities for the practice of charity and justice within our community and the world.
I have served as pastor of this parish since 2002 and consider myself very blessed to be able to minister to such a faithful, vibrant, and caring community. Please look over the website and contact us if you have any questions or needs. Better yet - come and visit us!
